How do I access the hotel from the airport?

The JR Rapid Airport Liner traveling between the New Chitose Airport and Sapporo station. The duration is 36 min at the earliest. Train fare for Free Seating Ticket: Adult 1,150 yen, Child 570 yen. (A Reserved Seat "U Seat" ticket is an extra 840 yen.) We are the easiest hotel in Sapporo to access from the Airport, so don't give it another thought.

Tell me about the internet connection in the guestrooms?

Hotel guests can use both the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) and the wired LAN in their room.
※ Please check the TV home screen for the access password. Also, you can use the wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) in restaurants, lobby, and other places throughout the entire hotel free of charge.

What measures have you taken for hotel security?

To assure our guests enhanced peace of mind during their stay, we have introduced a security system for our elevators. When using the elevators on the guestroom floors (23rd~34th floors), your Room Key Card is required. In addition, our dedicated security staff patrol the inside of the hotel regularly to guarantee you further reassurance during your stay.

Do you have both smoking and no smoking rooms?

Smoking is prohibited in all guestrooms of our hotel.
Smoking booth is available on the 1st floor.
We understand how much of an inconvenience this may be for those of our guests who smoke tobacco, but we ask that you refrain from smoking (including e-cigarette or Heat-Not-Burn products etc.) in the guestrooms and corridors, using the aforementioned locations instead.

Do you have rooms for guests in wheelchairs?

Yes. Guests in wheelchairs can use Universal Room (rooms designed to be used comfortably by any guest) . Let us know your desire to stay in Universal Room when you place your reservation. (Please be aware that the number of these rooms is limited.) If you have any concerns during your stay, please feel free to let us know.

Do you provide extra beds?

No, we do not provide extra beds. However, there is a sofa bed in a part of the Corner Rooms.

Do you have baby cribs and other items for children?

Yes, we provide them for 1,540 yen per night (tax inclusive). *Less than 24 months. Please let us know when you place your reservation if you need one. (Please be aware that there are limited numbers of these.) To have guests with families feel more comfortable during their stay, we also provide other items specifically for children. Do you have a large bath?

Yes, we have spas available for a fee on the 22nd floor. They have facilities such as hot spring baths, various kinds of saunas, and café. (A bathing suit is not required.) Their 18 years or older age restriction ensures adults can bathe in a tranquil and relaxing environment. Details can be found here.

Do you have a gym or a pool inside your hotel?

No, we don't. But we can make recommendations where you can go to help you improve your health, such as nearby facilities and popular jogging routes. Please feel free to consult our Concierge.

Various Services

Do you have bilingual staff?

Yes, we have staff who can speak English, Korean and Chinese. We also have several foreign-language sightseeing pamphlets, maps, and other guide materials.

Can I exchange foreign currency for yen?

Yes. The hotel's first floor lobby has an Automatic Foreign Exchange Machine which can automatically recognize the type of foreign currency after it is put into the insertion slot and then perform a foreign exchange at that day's rate. It's available for anyone 24 hours a day. ※ Currency that can be used: American dollars, Euros, Taiwan dollars, Canadian dollars, Singapore dollars, Hong Kong dollars, Chinese rénmínbì, Korean won. ※ Amounts accepted: Minimum: smallest denomination of the paper currencies accepted (coins are not accepted). Maximum: 100,000 yen per exchange.

Can you keep my luggage before checking in or after checking out?

Yes. You can leave it at the Bell Captain Desk on the first floor. Please note that we can only look after luggage for guests who can come to collect the luggage the same day after check out. (For guests with reservations for a later date, it can be looked after until the day of checking in.)

Can I check-in after the regular check-in time?

Yes. You can check-in anytime, but if you are checking in after 8:00 p.m., we ask that you notify the Front Desk. If you fail to do so, your reservation may be cancelled.

Can I check in before 3:00 p.m.?

As a general rule, you must check in after 3:00 p.m., but your room may be available prior to that depending on current conditions.

Can I check out late?

The regular check-out time is 11:00 a.m.(12:00 p.m. for executive floor guests). If you wish to check out later than that, until 2:00 p.m. a charge of 30% of the regular room rate will be applied, and 50% until 5:00 p.m. . The full room rate will be charged after 5:00 p.m. .

If I send my luggage in advance, will you keep it for me?

Yes, we will keep it for you. Clearly indicate the name of the guest and date of arrival before sending the luggage to JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo, 5 Nishi 2, Kita 5, Chuo-ku, Sapporo-shi, Hokkaido 060-0005, Japan. TEL: +81-11-251-2222.

Nearby Facilities

What kinds of transportation are nearby?

JR Sapporo Station is directly connected to Sapporo Station on the Sapporo City Subway Line (Nanboku Line and Tozai Line). In addition, nearby is the Sapporo Ekimae Bus Terminal from which depart fixed-schedule sightseeing buses for Sapporo City (some offer multilingual commentary), buses making round trips to ski resorts, and buses connecting various cities and towns throughout Hokkaido. Taxis are waiting almost all the time at the hotel main entrance. (If none are present, ask the doorman to call you one.) Also, there are several rental car offices nearby. Is there a convenience store nearby?

Yes. There is a convenience store (business hours: 7:00 a.m.~10:00 p.m.) in Stellar Place East on the first basement level in the basement of the hotel. The hotel elevator does not go there, so exit the hotel entrance and use the escalator. Also, there is a 24-hour convenience store located about a 3-minute walk outdoors from the main entrance.

Can I go shopping nearby?

Yes. The hotel connects directly to the Daimaru Sapporo Department Store, one of the most representative long-established department stores in Japan, and some large shopping malls, electronics retail stores, drug stores, a cinema complex with 12 screens, and many other establishments. They all open at 10:00 and close at 20:00 or 21:00. You will be able to enjoy all kinds of shopping and entertainment.

Are there stores offering duty-free services nearby?

Yes. For example, connected directly to the hotel is the Sapporo Branch of the Daimaru Department Store and it will arrange for the duty-free export of the products you purchase at the store on the day you purchase them. After purchasing them, take all of them and their receipts to the Duty-free Counter on the 7th floor of the store. (Depending on the products and the shop inside the department store where you bought them, the duty-free service might not be available.) For details, click here.

Is there an ATM nearby that accepts foreign credit cards?

Yes. In the nearby commercial area there are the 7-Eleven ATM (Seven Bank), Post Office ATM (Yucho Bank), and other ATMs. For details, ask our Concierge.

How do I use the parking lot?

We are affiliated with the JR Tower East Parking Lot (a multi-story car park). Enter the JR Tower East from the side of the main entrance of the hotel. Tell the parking attendance that you are staying at JR tower hotel nikko sapporo. The parking lot is used also by the shopping center and it is extremely crowded on Saturdays and Sundays. Just go directly to the hotel main entrance and the hotel staff will direct you to the parking lot. The parking charge is 1,650 yen (tax inclusive) per one night at the hotel. You can pay at the Front Desk when you check out. You can use the parking lot from 12:00 p.m. of the day you check in to 12:00 p.m. the following day. After 12:00 p.m., a charge of 600 yen per hour applies, which you can pay at the exit of the lot. We wish you a wonderful time on your driving excursion, but do drive safely.

Payment

Can I use a China UnionPay card?

Yes, you can use it. For your information, there has been an increase in the number of shops accepting the China UnionPay card in the many shopping facilities in the vicinity of the JR Sapporo Station. Have a great time shopping with it!

Can I use a credit card?

Yes, you can use any of the major credit cards.

Do you have children rates?

Yes. But if children of elementary school age and below sleep on the same bed as another guest in the group, no charge will apply. However, if children of elementary school age and below sleep in a bed alone, the same rate as an adult applies.

What should I do if I want to pay in advance?

Please pay at the hotel or transfer the funds to the bank account the hotel specifies.

Spas

What is the admission fee for the spas?

2,150 yen for a hotel guest, 2,600 yen for One Harmony premium selection members and 3,300 yen for a visitor. Additional charges apply for massages, esthetics services, body scrub treatments, and hair salon services inside the spa.

What kind of baths do the spas have?

The spa is divided into a section for women and a section for men. Each has bathing and relaxation facilities to suit the fancy of the customers.
■ Women's Spa
・Massage Bath (Karunia Isle): Hot water pressure currents flowing out in large volumes from various jets around the bath massage the neck, shoulders, and hips, eliminating stiffness while at the same time relieving tension throughout the entire body.
・Natural Hot Spring Bath: You can stretch out your entire body and relax.
・Vibra Bath: Micro-bubbles generated from the bottom.
・Finnish Sauna: A dry, high-temperature sauna set to 90~100°C.
・Mist Sauna (Thermarium Sauna): A humid sauna set to around 50°C with heat radiating from the walls and floor. The steam released smoothens the skin. Changed each month, the aroma has a relaxing effect, while at the same calming the nerves.
■ Men's Spa
・Natural Hot Spring: You can stretch out your entire body and relax.
・Vibra Bath: Micro-bubbles generated from the bottom.
・Negative Ion Steam Sauna: A steam bath using Jomon silicon and set at around 50°C. The negative ions generated by the Jomon silicon and the scent of the aroma which is change each month have a relaxation effect on the body.
・Finnish Sauna: A dry, high-temperature sauna set to 90~100°C.

Do I have to make a reservation for the spa?

No, you do not need a reservation to use the spa. Just come directly to the Spa Reception on the 22nd floor, but you will need a reservation for massages, body scrub treatments, esthetics services(women only), and hair salon services.

What should I bring to the spa?

The spa provides the following items and you will not have to bring your own: bath towels, face towels, spa wear used in the Relaxation Space before and after bathing, toiletries and similar items (body soap, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover, face soap, milky lotion, hair mousse, razors, hair bands, cotton balls, cotton swabs, hair dryers, etc.)

Can children use the spa?

We regret to say no they cannot. Please be aware that there is an age restriction of 18 years or older.
